Nawshin is an experienced researcher with a collective 8 years of educational and work experience in the field of Social Sciences and Economics Research. She specializes in multi-methods research techniques and has worked on numerous projects in collaboration with international organizations such as the World Bank, the United Nations, and the European Union. She is passionate about social change and social impact research, and is driven by the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2030 Agenda of “Leaving No One Behind”.
Nawshin has double Masters degrees in Research Methodologies and Economics, from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Dhaka, respectively. Her sample of work can be seen in her publications entitled “Delivering SDGs in the Local Level: Efficiency of Social Protection Programmes in Bangladesh” and “COVID-19 and Employment Related Adjustments: Findings from Household Survey in Bangladesh”. She has a demonstrated work history of working in the think-tank industry.
Most of her work revolves around the concept of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). During her study at UCLA, she also worked as a study-material provider for students with disabilities at the Center for Accessible Education (CAE). She aims to work for marginalized and underserved populations through effective public policy research. She is a strong proponent of equal rights and democracy in all environments and believes in empowering students through the practice of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) pedagogy. In her personal life, she is an artist and most of her art focuses on women empowerment and ending racism.
